He earned his Master\u2019s Degree at Indiana University where he studied under Prof. Myron Bloom. He also learned to play early horn and studied early<br \/>instrument building with Richard Seraphinoff, as well as with Jean Michel Mareau Paris.<\/p>\n<p>Barak played first horn for many years with the Beersheba Sinfonietta, the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra, the Ra\u2019anana Symphonette, theJerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and performed as a guest artist with various orchestras and ensembles in Israel and abroad. Barak has conducted and moderated family and children\u2019s concerts for many years, with the Holon Habama Orchestra, the Rishon LeZion Symphony<br \/>Orchestra, the Ramat Gan Chamber Orchestra and others. He also teaches and conducts at workshops and at various ensembles.<\/p>\n<p>For the past five years Barak has been the director of the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. He also conducts the Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and its wind Orchestra. The orchestra participates in various representative projects on behalf of the conservatory and the high school, which include special concerts, conferences and festivals. Every summer, a music camp is held at Abraham House on the Mount of Olives, where orchestra members come together to advance their musical skills and foster social connections through diverse activities. At the age of 20 he was one of the leaders and soloist of the Israeli Chamber Orchestra conducted by Gary Bertini.<\/p>\n<p>He received the continuation of his musical education in the USA, at the Golliard Summer School in New York, where he studied with Ivan Glamian and Sally Thomas, Golliard quartet. Played at the New York Opera and was principal violinist at various festivals in the USA, founded the New York. He studied music in Russia, the Netherlands (the Maastricht Conservatory of Music) and the US (the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music). Upon moving to Israel, he developed a solid orchestra career, playing under the baton of Zubin Mehta, Herbert Blomstedt, Frederick Chaslin and Omer Wellber, among others. She began violin lessons at the age of 4 and received a Bachelor's Degree from Mannes College of Music and a Master of Music from Yale University. She then completed her studies at the Sibelius Academy in Finland as a recipient of a Fulbright Grant. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe, US, and Israel, and has been featured on French and Israeli radio. After completing her studies, she played in the Finnish National Opera orchestra for 10 years. They won a prize in the outstanding klezmer competition in Tel Aviv in June 2023, performed at the chamber music festival in Eilat, and the quintet appears all over the country. Graduated with a bachelor's degree and an artist certificate from the Buchman Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, under the guidance of the late Mrs. Ruth Ma'ini.<\/p>\n<p>She completed her master's degree studies at the High School of Music at the Conservatory in Bloisan, Switzerland, under the guidance of Prof. Chantal Mathieu.<\/p>\n<p>Has a resume of participation in many international competitions and enterprises. Played a solo recital on the Swiss radio RSR as well as on the \"Youth in the Center\" programs of the Voice of Music. She won many scholarships during her studies; Among them the American Israel Culture Foundation scholarship between 2006-2011, in addition to the Foundation scholarship for graduate studies abroad. and other scholarships.<br \/>Sherry plays in various orchestras in Israel, and also participates in various musical ensembles.<br \/>As a teacher with a rich resume - for the past decade she has been teaching in the \"Playing School\" project at the \"Paula Ben Gurion\" school in Jerusalem, and leads the harp class of the Jerusalem Academy of Music Conservatory. Has a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem, in collaboration with the Department of Education at the Hebrew University. She appeared as a soloist with most of the orchestras in Israel: among others with the Israeli Chamberta Jerusalem, the Israel Philharmonic, the Israel Chamber, Tel Aviv Soloists and the Israel Broadcasting Authority Jerusalem Symphony.<\/p>\n<p>In 2004 she appeared as a soloist with the \"Amati Ensemble\" in concerts in the Netherlands. She participated in the project \"The Wanderings of the Lily - Israeli musicians on a journey to the golden age in Spain\" at the Barcelona festival and in Israel, as well as in the chamber concert to mark the jubilee of the State of Israel in Berlin. In 2009 she held a concert tour in India and Nepal to mark Israel's Independence Day.<\/p>\n<p>She appeared as a soloist at the Israel Festival, the Abu Gush Festival, the Renaissance Festival in Haiyam and the \"Voice of Music in the Upper Galilee\" festival. As a member of the \"Melzer Consort\" bagpipe band, she made recordings for radio and television and performed all over the country, among other things in Michael Meltzer's \"Crazy Renaissance\" production with Shlomo Gronich. She recorded three CDs with the Consort: Bach works, Israeli works, and artistic arrangements of Hasidic songs.<\/p>\n<p>For 35 years, Yael has been a bagpipe teacher at the conservatory next to the Academy in Jerusalem, and in the process established her position as the main teacher in the field of wind instruments. She won the award for the outstanding teacher of the conservatory for the year 5639.<\/p>\n<p>She regularly submits students to recitals and matriculation exams in music. Several of her students won scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, and her students played as soloists with the Israel Broadcasting Authority Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and with the Jerusalem Israeli Camerata Orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>The conservatory's flute ensemble, which works regularly under her guidance, has performed in many concerts, including as part of the Abu Gush \"Voice of Music in the Upper Galilee\" festivals, the Voice of Music concerts live from the \"Targ\" center in Ein Kerem and in the Academy's prestigious series, including collaboration with an orchestra Broadcasting Authority and Beer Sheva Sinfonietta.<\/p>\n<p>For 20 years, Halilit has been teaching Mishnah instruments and teaching bagpipes to undergraduate and graduate students as part
