Ankor Choir

The Ankor Choir, founded in 1983, consists of 50 children between the ages of 8 and military. The choir performs in Israel and abroad in its own concerts, competitions and orchestral projects.

About the program

The Ankor Choir serves as the house choir of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and of Yad Vashem, and has recorded CDs of it's works, in collaboration with the Philharmonic Orchestra.

The young Ankor choir works alongside the mature choir, and all students receive choir rehearsal, theory lessons, group voice development and high-level musical training in choral singing.

What's included:

  1. Twice a week rehearsals
  2. Voice development lessons
  3. Solfege (learning to sing from notes)
  4. Performing in concerts and competitions in Israel and abroad

Events

Students take part in a number of events and performances through out the year. Many are open to the public. Take a look at the calendar of events to see what is coming up and experience the magic of the Conservatory!
